How it works
Claude, an AI model, reads each line and picks the closest food from two sources: ingredients measured for the Low Sodium, Big Flavor cookbook, and the USDA nutrient database. The sodium figures come from those sources, not from the AI. The table shows every match so you can check it.
Some lines can't be counted, like "salt to taste" or a branded product with no close match. Those are flagged rather than counted as zero. Check the label and add them yourself.
Treat the result as an estimate. Brands vary, and so does how much you actually use. If your doctor has given you a sodium limit, the labels on what you buy are the final word.
