Chèvre (Fresh Goat Cheese)
While you probably won’t find chèvre starter in your local grocery store, it’s easily found online: Amazon carries it, or you can order directly from the New England Cheesemaking Supply Company or Cultures for Health. Pasteurized goat milk, on the other hand, may be harder to find. Most grocery stores only carry ultra-pasteurized goat milk, which doesn’t work well for cheese-making. However, with a little search- ing, you can usually find a farm nearby that offers it as part of a dairy delivery service.
